Surat-Sachin-Navsari Road to be Strengthened for Convenient Connectivity
Road strengthening work to cost Rs.11 crore and provide relief to commuters
In the presence of Minister of State for Forest and Environment Shri Mukeshbhai Patel, MP Shri C. R. Patil and MLA Sandipbhai Desai inaugurated the work of strengthening the 8 km road connecting Surat-Sachin-Navsari. The project will cost Rs.11 crore and provide great relief to the people commuting from the villages of Surat and Navsari districts to Surat city for employment.
MP C. R. Patil stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has established a work culture of starting essential projects before they are demanded by the public, which is being followed by the state government. The strengthening of the Surat-Sachin-Navsari road will provide better road connectivity, reducing traffic congestion and providing a smoother and more convenient journey for motorists.
MLA Sandipbhai Desai, who has approved more than Rs.100 crores for roadways and infrastructure works within a short period of becoming an MLA, spoke about the heavy traffic on the Surat-Sachin-Navsari road and the prompt response of the state government to the public's representation for the widening and strengthening of the road. He also thanked the central government for waiving the income tax of Rs.10 thousand crores to sugarcane farmers and sugar factories, bringing a big relief to farmers in South Gujarat.
The ceremony was attended by District Panchayat President Bhaveshbhai Patel, Mayor Hemaliben Boghavala, Deputy Mayor Dinesh Jodhani, City BJP President Niranjan Zanzmera, Choryasi Taluka Panchayat President Rishibhai Patel, Executive Engineer U.B. Chaudhary, officials of the municipality, and citizens.
