Surat : A 17-year-old student, Tathagatapartha Parshuram Shah, tragically passed away after a road accident while on his way to school. However, even in this time of immense grief, his family made a remarkable decision to donate his organs, giving a new lease of life to four individuals battling organ failure.
Accident Strikes While Heading to Exam
On January 19th, Tathagatapartha, a class 12 student at Ryan International School, was struck by a car near Y Junction while riding his cycle to his pre-board chemistry exam. He was rushed to Sunshine Global Hospital and later transferred to Metas Hospital for further treatment, but sadly, pronounced brain dead by the medical team.
Family Embraces Organ Donation with Jeevandeep's Support
In this difficult moment, the Jeevandeep Organ Donation Foundation reached out to Tathagatapartha's family, sensitizing them about the significance of organ donation. Inspired by his father Parshuram Shah, who himself was aware of the importance of this process, the family made the selfless decision to donate their son's organs.

With the expertise of UN Mehta Hospital in Ahmedabad, Tathagatapartha's heart, liver, and both kidneys were successfully harvested and then transplanted into critically ill recipients at IKDRC Hospital, also in Ahmedabad.
