Police Conduct Surprise Investigation in Surat's Pandesara Area

Surat - Police in Pandesara, a neighborhood in Surat city, recently conducted a surprise investigation operation, leading to legal action against 66 individuals. The operation was part of a larger effort to crack down on criminals and anti-social elements in the city.

The Police Commissioner of Surat identified sensitive areas across the city's police stations and instructed officers to conduct regular checks in these locations. A surprise night combing operation took place in the Pandesara police station area between 10 pm and 12 am, focusing on the Valmiki Abendkar SMC residence Siddharth Nagar.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) for H Division, a large contingent of officers, including personnel from the Pandesara, Khatodara, and Althan police stations, participated in the operation. Around 10 teams, comprising 55 police personnel, were formed and equipped with batons, helmets, and torches.

The two-hour surprise combing operation resulted in intensive checks by various teams, with entry and exit points of Siddharthnagar Valmiki Ambedkar SMC residence closed during the process.

The police took action against many youths involved in anti-social activities during the operation. The investigation led to the checking of three absconding suspects, 87 tenant inquiries, and the examination of 68 other suspects. In total, 66 cases were registered, and legal action was taken by the police.
