Surat : A sudden fire erupted at Rani Sati Mill in Pandesara GIDC area on Tuesday, sending plumes of smoke billowing into the sky and sending shivers down the spines of nearby residents and factory workers. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the inferno caused significant damage to the facility and its stored materials.
Short Circuit Blamed, Quick Response Averts Tragedy: According to Sub Fire Officer Narottambhai Khalasi, the fire originated in a fusing machine on the third floor, likely triggered by a short circuit. The flames quickly spread, engulfing piles of gray cloth and rolls of puttha, a packaging material. Alerted by panicked onlookers, four fire tenders rushed to the scene from nearby stations, battling the blaze for some time before finally bringing it under control.
