A bustling meeting room at Samhati Building, Sarsana, Surat, became a hub for international business connections today. The South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) under its SGCCI Global Connect Mission 84 hosted a dynamic event attended by representatives from Thailand, New Zealand, Japan, and Singapore, opening doors to exciting new opportunities for Surat's entrepreneurs.

The keynote address by Nikhil Madrasi, Honorary Minister of the Chamber of Commerce, set the stage by highlighting Mission 84's ambitious vision. This initiative, spearheaded by Chamber President Ramesh Vaghasia, aims to bridge the gap between Indian businesses and international markets through an online platform connecting 84,000 Indian entrepreneurs with 84,000 counterparts across the globe. Additionally, Mission 84 seeks to integrate 84 Indian Chambers of Commerce with their counterparts in 84 countries, forging a robust network for global trade.

The event buzzed with presentations and interactions. Sunchavi Pattanachak, Executive Director of the International Trade Promotion Department at the Thai Trade Office, Mumbai, outlined promising prospects for Surat businesses in Thailand. New Zealand entrepreneurs Dr. Kush Bhargava and Dr. Ramkumar Bhargava showcased investment opportunities in their country's green projects, food exports, and agriculture, while also highlighting the potential for exporting lab-grown diamonds and gems.

Japanese scientist Saku Kawamata presented cutting-edge advancements in electric vehicles and batteries, encouraging Surat's industrialists to invest in this burgeoning sector. He envisions Surat as a future hub for electric car and motorcycle manufacturing, powered by revolutionary new batteries with a 400-kilometer range.

Dr. Khurshid, representing Singapore, shed light on the healthcare industry, showcasing a hospital solutions product and a smart watch designed for healthcare applications.

Throughout the event, Chamber officials, including Vice President Vijay Mewawala and former President Himanshu Bodawala, facilitated discussions and addressed queries from eager Surat entrepreneurs. Paresh Bhatt, CEO of Mission 84, expertly moderated the sessions, while former Chamber President Rohit Mehta crafted the event's outline, ensuring a smooth and productive exchange.
