Three Thugs Pose as Passengers and Steal Car in Vadodara
A car driver from Surat was duped by three men who posed as passengers and stole his vehicle. Dilipkumar Nanglia, the owner of the car and resident of Ashtavinayak Residency in Palsana, Surat, had agreed to drive his friend Ganesh Madansingh to Vadodara for a fare of Rs 4,000. Ganesh was accompanied by two others named Pawan Kumar and Birendra alias Prem.
Upon reaching Vadodara, Ganesh informed Nanglia that he actually wanted to go to Ahmedabad instead. Later that evening, the group arrived at a transport office in Aslali and Ganesh left for about 10 minutes. While returning from Ahmedabad, Ganesh asked Nanglia to drop another person in Vadodara.
On March 12, the group arrived near Dhumad Chokdi, where Ganesh and his friends fled with the car, leaving Nanglia stranded. After contacting the Vadodara City Police Control, Nanglia returned to Surat and contacted Ganesh, but the latter disconnected the call. Nanglia subsequently filed a complaint with the Sama police station.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of drivers and their vehicles. The police have launched an investigation and are on the lookout for the culprits. Meanwhile, car owners are advised to exercise caution and ensure that they have verified the identities of their passengers before taking them on board.
