Surat Start-up Summit-2023 Sees Record Attendance, Over Rs 12 Crore in Investment Pledges

Surat : The Surat South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) organized the Surat Start-up Summit-2023 on October 27-29, 2023 at the Platinum Hall, Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Sarsana, Surat. The summit was a resounding success, with over 16,800 people from different cities across the country visiting the event over the three days.

Various innovative products and services were showcased at the summit, and investors pledged over Rs 12 crore in investment for the start-ups participating in the event. On the third day of the summit, six sessions were organized on topics useful for business for entrepreneurs, including using blockchain to solve the problem of the diamond industry, what investors want, and future export and investment opportunities in gaming.

Panel discussions by experts were also held on topics such as how to approach investors, new trends in influencer marketing, and brand-building for start-ups. Rahul Narvekar, Founder of The India Network, enlightened entrepreneurs on various aspects of taking a business from start-up to scale.

In the valedictory address at the closing ceremony of the summit, Chamber Vice President Vijay Mewawala announced that the Start-up Summit-2024 will be organized on a larger scale in the month of October. CA Mayank Desai, Chairman of the Start-up Committee, said that every entrepreneur who set up a stall at the summit received good investment offers.

The Surat Start-up Summit-2023 was a huge success, and it is hoped that the event will continue to grow in popularity and scale in the years to come.
