Vadodara : Two bike riders died in a massive collision between two bikes on Pratapnagar Bridge in the city on Sunday morning. The victims have been identified as Rajesh Ishwarbhai Mali, aged 36, and Shankar Rajubhai Ninama, aged 21.
According to the Wadi police, the accident occurred at around 8:30 am when the two bikes collided head-on. Both the riders sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they were declared dead on arrival.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident. However, they suspect that overspeeding may have been a factor.
The accident caused a traffic jam on Pratapnagar Bridge, which was later cleared by the police.
The deaths of the two young men have cast a pall of gloom over the city. Their families are in shock and grieving their loss.
