Tragic Mass Suicide Shocks Surat: Solanki Family's Heartbreaking Incident
Seven Members of the Same Family Found Dead in Palanpur Patiya Area
Surat - In a deeply distressing incident that has sent shockwaves through Surat, seven members of the Solanki family have committed mass suicide, leaving the community in mourning. The tragic incident unfolded in Siddheshwar Apartment, located in the Palanpur Patiya area, and the reasons behind this heartbreaking act are still under investigation.
The Solanki family, consisting of Manish Solanki, his wife Reshma Ben, their children Trisha, Krishal, and Kanubhai (the father), and Shobhaben (the mother), met a tragic end, leaving the community in disbelief.
Details of the incident remain scant, but preliminary reports suggest that Manish Solanki, who worked in the furniture industry, administered a poisonous substance to his family members before taking his own life by hanging. Notably, all three of the Solanki children were under the age of eight, further deepening the sense of tragedy.
Upon receiving the distressing news, local law enforcement promptly arrived at the scene to initiate a thorough investigation. While the precise motive for this tragic mass suicide remains uncertain, preliminary findings indicate a possible link to economic hardships. It is suggested that Manish may have been driven to take this extreme step due to financial troubles, as mentioned in a suicide note discovered during the police investigation. In the note, Manish expressed his frustration over unpaid debts, explaining, "I have no problem with money, but the dues from whom it is due are not coming."
DCP Rakesh Barot, while addressing the media, stated, "A message had come that seven members of a family had committed suicide in the night. In which initial investigation has revealed that one person has hanged himself, and the remaining six people have consumed some poisonous substance. At present, further investigation is going on in this regard."
The Solanki family had a thriving furniture business, employing approximately 30 to 35 individuals, which makes this tragic incident even more perplexing. As the investigation unfolds, the community grapples with the profound grief and loss that has befallen them.
