Surat Start-up Summit 2023 Aims to Make Surat a Financial Capital Hub
Over 500 startups to participate in the summit, which will showcase the city's entrepreneurial ecosystem
Surat, October 25: The South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organizing the Surat Start-up Summit 2023 on October 27-29 at the Platinum Hall, Surat International Exhibition & Convention Centre, Sarsana, Surat.
The summit is aimed at promoting and bringing awareness to the start-up ecosystem in Surat. More than 500 startups have registered for the summit, out of which 70 percent are from Surat. Apart from this, startups from Ahmedabad and Vadodara have also participated.
The inaugural ceremony of the summit will be held on October 27 at 10:00 am, with Harshbhai Sanghvi, Minister of State for Industries, Gujarat, as the chief guest. Gandhinagar-based Commissioner of Technical Education, Government of Gujarat, Banchhanidhi Pani (IAS), Hiranmay Mahant, CEO of Gujarat Start-up and Innovation Hub (I-Hub), and Kamal Bansal, CEO of Gujarat Venture Finance Limited will also be present.
Startup entrepreneurs from the fields of solar energy, software technology, women's health, diamond, architects, and interior designing have participated in the summit.
"Our aim is to make Surat a financial capital hub for startups," said Vijay Mewawala, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce. "We are inviting more than 10,000 industrialists from across the country to attend this summit."
A road show of the Gujarat Vibrant Start-up Summit to be organized in the coming December-2023 will also be organized at the summit.
"We will request the industrialists and corporate houses of Surat to support start-up entrepreneurs through the Chamber of Commerce," said CA Mayank Desai, chairman of the Start-ups and Innovation Committee of the Chamber of Commerce.
The Surat Start-up Summit 2023 is a significant event for the city's entrepreneurial ecosystem. It is expected to attract investors, mentors, and other stakeholders who can help Surat become a leading start-up hub in India.
