Friend kills friend over two rupees for cigarettes in Surat
Accused arrested and sent to jail
Surat police have solved the mystery of a murder that took place within the limits of Khatodara police station within a few hours and have arrested the accused.
The accused and the deceased are friends. The deceased had given two rupees to the accused to buy cigarettes, but a fight broke out between the two when they did not get cigarettes at such a low price.
After a fierce fight between the two, they attacked each other with swords and deadly weapons. The friend died tragically in the attack.
The police have arrested the killer friend and are carrying out further investigation. Small and big crimes have already been registered against the accused.
The incident came to light late night in Tadkeshwar Nagar Society in Bhatar area of Surat. A minor dispute between two friends living in the society led to the murder.
According to information received from Khatodara Police Station sources, Akash Babasaheb Waghmare and Deep Ravindra Patel, residents of Tadkeshwar Nagar Society, are friends of each other. There was a fight between the two friends over bringing cigarettes late at night.
Friend Akash gave two rupees to his friend Deep Patel to bring cigarettes. But a fight broke out between the two friends saying that cigarettes would not be available for two rupees.
When the dispute escalated, there was a fatal attack between the two with a sword and a sharp knife. Akash was seriously injured in the attack and his other friends took him to Surat New Civil Hospital. Attacker Deep Patel also suffered minor injuries in the incident.
After the incident, Deep Patel fled from the spot. On the other hand, Akash Waghmare was admitted to Surat Navi Civil Hospital with serious injuries, where he died.
Khatodara police registered a case of murder and investigated the incident. The killer friend was arrested and sent to jail.
When the accused was arrested and interrogated, accused Deep Patel confessed that he was murdered in a hand-to-hand fight over some money given by a friend to buy cigarettes.
This incident is a reminder of the dangers of trivial disputes and the importance of resolving them peacefully.
