Gujarat Nursing Cricket Premier League-2 Tournament Inaugurated in Surat

Surat, October 16: The Gujarat Nursing Cricket Premier League-2 tournament was inaugurated in Pal area in Surat on Sunday by Mayor Daksheshbhai Mavani. More than 400 players, including nursing college students of the state, staff nurses, and hospital faculty members, are participating in the tournament.

The tournament is being organized by the nursing staff and nursing students who work day and night with the doctors in the health sector in Gujarat. It is a tribute to the noble performance of doctors and nursing staff during the difficult times of Corona in Gujarat.

Mayor Mavani told all the people present that playing a good game with sportsmanship is more important than losing in the game. Former Standing Committee Chairman Pareshbhai Patel said that the game of cricket, which is called a gentleman's game, teaches qualities like discipline, sportsmanship, and concentration. He also emphasized the importance of teamwork in both cricket and the health sector.

On this occasion, the Mayor and dignitaries felicitated Adil Kadiwala, Assistant Professor, JK Nursing College, and Viren Patel, Navi Civil, for organizing the tournament in a very limited time under the guidance of US-based Chief Organizer and Nursing Officer Dinesh Aggarwal. It is noteworthy that the women's team is also participating in this cricket tournament.

The dignitaries present on the spot encouraged the players by batting. They also decided to make the 'Organ Donation Mahadan' campaign statewide in the presence of nursing college students and dignitaries, including Kiran Domadia, Dr. Ashwin Pandya, Nilesh Lathia, and Vibhor Chugh.
