A massive fire broke out at Parag Mill in Pandesara GIDC, Surat, on Monday. After receiving a call about the incident, the fire department dispatched 17 fire engines from six fire stations across the city to the spot.
The fire was so intense that a plume of smoke could be seen from a distance. The police also arrived at the scene to help control the chaos.
The fire brigade staff is currently investigating whether anyone is trapped inside the mill. However, there have been no reports of any casualties so far.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
The incident has once again highlighted the need for stricter fire safety measures in industrial areas.
