Surat Witnesses Fervent Navratri Celebrations with Huge Crowd at Mataji Temples

Surat : Navratri has started with much fanfare in Surat, with crowds of devotees thronging Mataji temples across the city. On the first day of Navratri, a huge crowd gathered at the Maa Amba temple, one of the oldest and most popular temples in the city.

Devotees of all ages, including a large number of youth, were seen worshiping at the temple. The temple was decorated with lights and flowers, and special arrangements were made for darshan due to the large crowd.

Many devotees will observe different types of fasts during Navratri. Some will eat one meal per day, while others will fast only on fruits or water. There are also some people who will observe a digital fast by staying away from social media for nine days.

Devotees are performing puja as per their capacity to please Mataji. The temple authorities have made special arrangements to facilitate darshan, but there is still a long queue of devotees waiting to have a glimpse of the deity.

Navratri is a festival of worshiping the Mother Goddess for nine consecutive days. It is one of the most important festivals in the Hindu calendar, and is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country.
