Vadodara : The Vibrant Summit 2023, organized by the Vadodara administration, was held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. At the summit, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed for an investment of Rs 5359 crore in Vadodara, in the presence of State Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi.
Sanghvi said that this investment by industries in Vadodara will provide employment to 50,000 people. He also assured the industries to fulfill whatever their needs may be.
Apart from the MoU signing, various programs were also organized at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Municipal Hall on Ajwa Road as part of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. These programs included a buyer-seller meet, industrial exhibition, and seminars on the kind of workforce required by industries.
At the summit, District Collector Atul Gor said that in the last 15 years many new industries have started in Savli and Waghodia. This has led to an increase in the number of people commuting from Vadodara or other small towns to these areas, which has resulted in increased traffic and congestion.
In view of this, the administration is considering running a MEMU train on an elevated track from Vadodara to Savli. Gor also assured the industries to fulfill whatever their needs may be.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dilip Rana, who was also present at the Vibrant Summit, said that construction of a ring road is being considered to solve the traffic problem in the western region of the city. Also, to emphasize on public transport, it has been decided to run 100 electric buses.
The Vibrant Summit 2023 is a positive step towards attracting investment and generating employment in the city. The MoU signed at the summit is a testament to the confidence that industries have in the potential of Vadodara. The various programs organized at the summit also provided a platform for industries and other stakeholders to interact and explore opportunities for collaboration.
