Surat Crime Branch Solves Mobile Shop Businessman Murder Case, Two Accused Arrested

Surat : The Surat Crime Branch has solved the murder case of mobile shop businessman Durgaram Chaudhary, who was killed on October 8. Two accused, including a minor, have been arrested for the crime.

According to DCP Rupal Solanki of Surat Crime Branch, the accused, Rakesh Rathod and the minor, had a minor scuffle with Chaudhary on a road in Godadara area. Chaudhary scolded Rathod, who then decided to take revenge.

On the night of October 8, Rathod and the minor followed Chaudhary on a motorcycle as he was returning home from his shop. They chased him and then fatally attacked him with a knife on his back. Chaudhary was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The entire incident was captured in CCTV footage, which helped the police to identify and arrest the accused.

During police interrogation, Rathod confessed to killing Chaudhary in revenge for the minor scuffle. He said that they had been planning the murder for several days and had even conducted a recce of Chaudhary's shop and house.

The Surat Crime Branch has solved the crime in a short time and arrested the accused. The police have praised the team for their quick and efficient work.
