Vadodara : Violent Assault on Youths in Nizampura Area Following Bail Release

The city of Nizampura witnessed a violent incident where three young men were assaulted while on their way home from Narmada Bhawan after being released on bail, in relation to an earlier altercation in Ambedkar Chowk. The victims have been hospitalized at SSG Hospital, and based on their complaints, the police are in pursuit of the attackers.

Vikas Chhaganbhai, a resident of Ambedkar Chowk and an employee at Solanki Municipal Corporation, detailed the preceding events. On October 2nd, there was a dispute at Ambedkar Chowk between his cousin, Mitul Shantilal Solanki, and another man, Nilesh Arvindbhai Solanki. Following the disagreement, the parties involved sought bail at Narmada Bhavan, which was granted around 5:30 pm. After obtaining bail, Vikas, Mitul Shantilal Solanki, Jayesh Natwarbhai Solanki, Rahulbhai Shantilal Solanki, and Babubhai Mohan Solanki headed home, riding on two separate Activas.

On their way home via Jail Road, they were ambushed. Vikas Solanki, from the Wadi area, struck Vikas Chhaganbhai with a plastic water pipe. Following this initial assault, Vikas Chhaganbhai noticed that four individuals, including Vikas Solanki, Nainesh Solanki, Nandu alias Batio, and Sunny Solanki (all hailing from Kishanwadi), were armed with pipes. The group proceeded to attack the newly-released men. In the chaos, the assailants also damaged their Activas with the same pipes.

Thankfully, as onlookers began to gather, the attackers fled the scene. The injured were promptly taken to SSG Hospital for medical attention. The police have officially lodged a complaint against the attackers and are currently taking measures to bring them to justice.
