Young Man Found Dead in Surat's Municipal Garden: Friend Arrested for Alleged Murder

SURAT, PANDESARA — In a shocking incident, a young man was found unconscious and covered in blood in Madanlal Dhingra Garden, operated by the Municipal Corporation in the Pandesara area of Surat. The grim discovery was made by a security guard on the night of September 18th. Police were immediately alerted and the victim was rushed to Surat Civil Hospital. Unfortunately, the young man succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead upon arrival.

Pandesara police subsequently registered the case as a murder and initiated an investigation. The victim, identified as Kallu, had been in the garden with four friends when a dispute erupted among them. Kallu was struck in the head with a stick and left for dead by his companions, according to initial reports.

Forming specialized teams to address the case, Pandesara police acted swiftly to identify and apprehend the perpetrator. Investigators relied on CCTV footage and tips from human sources to pinpoint the accused. Using this evidence, they successfully captured a man named Amavas Ram Pravesh Mahnto.

During interrogation, Mahnto broke down and confessed to having committed the murder. "He admitted to violently attacking Kallu during the heated argument, resulting in his friend's tragic death," said a police spokesperson.
