SURAT - The local police have apprehended two security guards, Rajpal and Ramakant, in connection to the alleged murder of their roommate and colleague, Badrisingh, at the Western Heights residence in the Adajan district.
Badrisingh, who had been serving as a security guard at the Siddhachakra Building in Western Heights for half a year, also supplemented his income by cleaning vehicles for the building's residents. Reports indicate that he had consistently secured more cleaning jobs than his two roommates, leading to growing tensions in their shared accommodation.
Fuelled by jealousy over the disparity in job opportunities, Rajpal and Ramakant are alleged to have conspired against Badrisingh. The victim was reportedly attacked in his sleep on the building's rooftop, with both a bat and a stump used as the lethal weapons.
Following the incident, Badrisingh's body was dispatched to Surat Navi Civil Hospital for an autopsy. Acting swiftly, Adajan police managed to arrest the fleeing suspects, Ramakant Raidas and Rajpal Raidas, and are now proceeding with their legal course of action.
