South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce Ladies Wing educates on smartphone features and business apps.
Surat - The South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (SGCCI) Ladies Wing hosted an enlightening seminar titled 'Best Use of Smart Phones' at Sanhti Building, Sarsana. The initiative aimed to equip women entrepreneurs with knowledge on leveraging smartphone features effectively for their businesses.
Digital media expert Forum Prahiya emphasized that while many rely heavily on apps like WhatsApp and Facebook, smartphones offer a plethora of untapped features beneficial for businesses. Key insights provided included the optimal utilization of the Screen Time feature to monitor and reduce unnecessary device use, the advantages of WhatsApp Business over the standard app, and the significance of promoting businesses using status and stories.
A hands-on demonstration showcased the practicalities of the Canva application, a tool that allows users to craft eye-catching graphic designs from home. Further, the seminar underscored essential security measures, such as avoiding unnecessary app permissions, not sharing OTPs, and being cautious about location services.
Additional app features discussed in-depth included the CC Cleaner and the utility of note-taking functionalities. Prahiya further shed light on how women entrepreneurs can make the best use of popular social media platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Ramesh Vaghasia, President of the Chamber of Commerce, initiated the proceedings with a warm welcome address. Outlining the day's agenda was Ladies Wing Chairperson, Manisha Bodawala. Other notable attendees included the Chamber's Honorary Minister Nikhil Madrasi, Honorary Treasurer Kiran Thummar, Ladies Wing Advisor Roma Patel, and the former President, Jyotsna Gujarati.
The seminar, moderated by Women's Wing Secretary Plavnami Dave, also incorporated an interactive Q&A session. Mayuri Mewawala introduced the speaker for the day, while Alpa Madrasi wrapped up the informative event with a vote of thanks.
