Vadodara Tackles Traffic Woes by Reducing Circle Sizes

Vadodara's Big Circle Corporation has been proactively addressing the city's traffic issues by narrowing several key traffic circles. Following the successful narrowing of Chhani Circle, efforts are now underway at Vuda Circle, situated opposite Karelibagh Night Bazaar. Once the rain subsides, the road will be reopened after completing the circle's reduction and carpeting the area with asphalt.

Notably, the three triangles surrounding the circle have been trimmed, hinting at an even smaller final design. The initial 35-meter diameter of Chhani Circle was brought down to 31 meters, and a similar significant reduction has been observed with Vuda Circle. "Once the rain stops, the remaining tasks will be expedited," commented the Chairman of the Standing Committee.

With the successful reduction of the Rhinoceros circle behind them, the corporation is setting its sights on the airport circle for future endeavours. Meanwhile, substantial progress has been made on the Tarsali Susan Circle. Upon completion, the circle's centerpiece will showcase Vadodara's cultural heritage with a Garba replica, depicting players in action. This circle's reduction is expected to significantly ease traffic flow in the area.

In addition, the aging circle near Mahavir Hall is set for renovations and will soon feature a yoga replica. The corporation is also evaluating other large traffic circles across the city, and, where necessary, plans are being drawn up to reduce their sizes. This decision stems from the need to address the increasing vehicular congestion as the city's population and number of vehicles have surged, prompting a reevaluation of the previously larger traffic circle designs.
