SURAT - 'Vanar Sena', a rapidly expanding nationwide volunteer organization dedicated to social service, has acquired a notable addition to its ranks. Surat's celebrated industrialist, Subhash Dawar, has stepped in to helm the organization's efforts in Gujarat, promising to lend his industry acumen and extensive network to the cause.

Ajit Pratap Singh, the Deputy Director in the Social Welfare Department of the Uttar Pradesh Government and founder of 'Vanar Sena', proudly made the announcement. Reflecting on Dawar's dual impact in the industry and film sectors, Singh voiced his optimism, expecting a significant boost for the organization, especially in key regions like Gujarat.

Drawing inspiration from the selfless assistance that monkeys extend to their distressed counterparts, 'Vanar Sena' has garnered support from diverse sections of society. From high-ranking officials in IAS and IPS to everyday citizens, thousands have already enlisted to offer assistance across a spectrum of needs – be it medical aid, blood donations, employment opportunities, facilitating marriages for underprivileged girls, or promoting education.

The organization, which began its philanthropic journey amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, has since achieved considerable milestones, aiding thousands in need.

Celebrating the official commencement of 'Vanar Sena' initiatives in Gujarat, a special program was conducted in Surat. Notably in attendance were Preeti Srivastava, the organization's International President also fondly known as 'Helicopter Didi', and the education stalwart, Padma Shri Anand Kumar. Both were lauded and recognized for their indomitable spirit and contribution.

Commending Dawar's new role, Anand Kumar shared his aspirations for the entrepreneur's involvement, envisioning it as a transformative catalyst for the group. Echoing Kumar's sentiments, Priti Srivastava underlined the invaluable role of volunteers like Dawar. She reaffirmed her commitment to advancing the educational prospects for underprivileged children and pledged to shoulder the costs associated with their schooling.
