Tragic Gas Leak in Surat Results in Four Fatalities

SURAT - A devastating incident unfolded at Neelam Industries in Mangrol Mota Borsara, Surat district, where a chemical drum explosion led to a toxic gas leak. Four laborers were tragically killed due to suffocation, plunging the industrial area into chaos.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the tragedy struck as the workers were in the process of opening a drum filled with chemicals. The release of the hazardous gas overcame the laborers, leading to their immediate suffocation.

The identities of the deceased workers were confirmed as Imtiaz Abdul Sheikh, 45, Amin Patel, 22, Arun, 22, and Raghaji, 54. Among the victims, two hailed from Ankleshwar, one from Kapodra, and another from Rajasthan. Their bodies have since been transferred to Keem's Sadhna Hospital.

Local authorities are investigating the matter, as the community grapples with the shock of the tragedy.
