In a momentous election for the Sachin GIDC Co. Society near Surat, the Parivartan Panel emerged as the outright victors, securing all available positions and leaving the reigning Udhyog Sahakar Panel completely defeated.
The elections, which took place on Saturday, saw 17 candidates each from the Parivartan Panel and the Udhyog Sahakar Panel contesting for positions. Voting was conducted between 10 am to 5 pm. An impressive 85% of the 1,616 eligible voters cast their ballots, with 104 votes eventually deemed invalid.
Sachin GIDC, recognized as one of the largest in Gujarat, witnessed intense anticipation as the votes were tallied. The Parivartan Panel established an early lead, maintaining their advantage through multiple rounds of counting. By 3.15 am on Sunday, Returning Officer Prafulbhai V. Korat formally announced that all 17 candidates of the Parivartan Panel had secured victories with significant majorities.
