Surat's Civil Hospital to provide separate arrangement for fitness certificates for pilgrims

As the annual pilgrimage to Barfani Baba Amarnath is set to begin on June 30, a fitness certificate has been made mandatory for all devotees. To ensure that pilgrims from South Gujarat have a hassle-free experience, arrangements have been made for all procedures under one roof at the Civil Hospital in Surat.

From February 27, isolation facilities will be available at the new Civil Hospital. Pilgrims will be able to obtain fitness certificates in OPD No. 12 of the Civil Hospital building, where staff, including medical officers and nurses, will be present. The fitness OPD will operate from Monday to Friday, with case papers being taken out between 8 am and 12.30 pm.

Dr. Ganesh Govekar, the Superintendent of Civil Hospital, confirmed that case papers, ECG, and samples will be taken at the OPD. If further medical examination is required, it will also be conducted on the premises. This new arrangement has been made to ensure that the pilgrimage to Barfani Baba Amarnath is a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
