Private Buses Resume Service in Surat After Two Day Standoff
Passengers Get Relief as Luxury Buses Enter City as per Police Announcement
After a two-day standoff, the private luxury bus association has relented and resumed bus services in Surat. All luxury buses started entering the city as per the rules from this morning, bringing relief to the passengers who faced trouble for the last two days. The association took this decision following a meeting with Traffic JCP DH Parmar yesterday. They have submitted a written request to the police commissioner, agreeing to carry passengers within the city limits as per the announcement.
The decision was taken after MLA Kumar Kanani from Varchha, Surat, wrote a letter to the Traffic DCP regarding heavy vehicles plying during restricted hours in violation of police notifications. Traffic police took action against the violators, and luxury bus operators decided to park their buses near Valak Patiya, causing great inconvenience to passengers. However, after Kanani's intervention, the private bus association has withdrawn its decision, and buses will now enter the city as per the notification of the Police Commissioner.
Passengers were worried about their travel plans when the luxury bus operators decided not to enter Surat city. The decision created chaos, with passengers stranded and forced to look for other modes of transportation. However, with the resumption of bus services, passengers can now breathe a sigh of relief.
