Stray dogs continue to terrorize Surat, 2-year-old girl dies after mauling

The terror of stray dogs continues in the city of Surat, as a 2-year-old girl was recently attacked and fatally injured by a group of stray dogs in the Khajod area. The girl was playing outside her home when three dogs surrounded and bit her, causing serious injuries to her head and body. She was immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital, where she received treatment for 4 days before succumbing to her injuries.

The family of the girl, who are originally from West Bengal and work as laborers in Surat, are devastated by the loss. Stray dogs have been creating chaos and causing injuries in the city for some time, with reports of dog bites on the rise. The Surat Municipal Corporation has reported 477 cases of dog bites in the last 15 days alone.

In response to the increase in cases, the Surat Municipal Corporation has taken action by installing 60 cages for dogs in the Bhestan area of the city. However, more measures may be necessary to address the ongoing issue of stray dogs and their impact on public safety in Surat.
