A fire broke out in the warehouse of caterers in Udhna, Surat, after a cylinder explosion. The incident took place in the morning when the godown was closed and one of the five cylinders stored inside exploded due to a gas leak. The kitchen equipment and items in the godown were damaged in the fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the incident.
Firefighters from three different stations reached the spot and extinguished the fire after considerable effort. According to fire officer Akshay Patel, the fire spread to an adjacent building, but the team managed to control it. The incident caused chaos in the surrounding areas, and the fire department was informed immediately.
The warehouse is owned by Tushar Kumar Thakar, and the godown is located in Krishna Nagar Society on Sonal Industries Road. The explosion and subsequent fire resulted in damage to the kitchen equipment and items in the caterers' warehouse. However, the fire department managed to control the fire and avert any potential loss of life.
