Surat Students Celebrate International Day of Yoga with a Human Yoga Sculpture
Swaminarayan Gurukul Pupils Craft a Giant Human Replica with Yoga Postures, Encouraging Health Through Yoga
SURAT - On the occasion of International Day of Yoga, June 21st, students from Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul in Vedrod, Surat, brought an awe-inspiring performance to life. They creatively used various yoga postures to construct a giant human replica, aiming to advocate the importance of yoga for good health and its myriad benefits.
Guided by the teachings of school principals Arvindbhai Thesia and Dharmeshbhai Saliya, along with Sri Dharmavallabh Swami, Sri Prabhu Swami, and Sri Devprakash Swami, the students embarked on this noble initiative. Their mission: to creatively embody the essence of yoga and to inspire the community to embrace this ancient practice.
Proving the truth behind the slogan 'Yoga Bhagaye Rog' (Yoga dispels disease), the discipline of yoga has gained global recognition. Traditionally viewed as one of the six systems of Vedic philosophy and considered a practice exclusive to saints and sages, yoga has now transitioned into the daily routines of everyday people.
This extraordinary effort by the students of Gurukul, using a human chain of yoga postures to enhance public awareness, is truly commendable. Their giant human yoga sculpture not only reflects the immense potential of human creativity but also signifies the growing importance of yoga in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
