International Yoga Day-2026 Celebrated at Surat International Airport
On June 21, 2026, a special yoga session was organized at Surat International Airport from 07:00 AM to 08:00 AM in celebration of International Yoga Day-2026. The event was graced by the presence of Anand N.
Sharma, the honorable Airport Director of Surat, and Kumar Abhishek, Commandant/CASO, CISF Surat. CISF personnel, officials and employees of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), their family members, and local citizens participated enthusiastically. The program commenced with a collective singing of 'Vande Mataram'.
During the yoga session, participants were made aware of the importance of yoga and its physical, mental, and spiritual benefits, and they were encouraged to adopt yoga in their daily lives. Various yoga asanas and pranayama were practiced in accordance with the Common Yoga Protocol. The aim of these practices was to promote the health, physical capacity, mental balance, and efficiency of the personnel.
All participants present at the event practiced yoga with great enthusiasm and discipline and resolved to adopt a healthy and balanced lifestyle. The yoga session concluded with a collective singing of the national anthem 'Jana Gana Mana'.
