The countdown for the upcoming elections of the Federation of Surat Trade and Textile Association (FOSTA) has begun. The distribution of nomination papers officially started at the FOSTA office on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
The process commenced at 2 PM in the presence of election officials. There was significant enthusiasm and excitement in the business community regarding the FOSTA elections. On the first day, a large number of potential candidates from various categories collected nomination papers.
According to the information received, 14 candidates from the Platinum category, 4 from the Diamond category, and 9 from the Gold category collected nomination papers. Thus, a total of 27 nomination papers were distributed on the first day. The election committee stated that interested candidates can collect nomination papers from the FOSTA office on June 5 and 6, 2026, from 2 PM to 6 PM.
The distribution process was conducted peacefully and systematically under the supervision of election officials Ashok Jain, Brijmohan Agarwal, and Sachin Agarwal. With the commencement of the FOSTA election process, electoral activities in the business world have gained momentum. In the coming days, as candidates from various categories become more active, the electoral atmosphere is expected to heat up further.
