Surat: Sudama Trust's Unique Initiative; 'Kafan Arpan Seva' Campaign Launched to Honor the Deceased at Smimer Medical College
Sudama Trust in Surat celebrated the birthday of Ch. Prince Desai with a unique spirit of service and a message of humanity.
On this occasion, 251 kafans were dedicated for the deceased arriving at the post-mortem department of Smimer Medical College. This initiative is being regarded as an inspiring example of sensitivity, compassion, and social responsibility in society. The young members of Sudama Trust have consistently engaged in humanitarian and social service activities.
In this context, Jayeshbhai Desai and Ritaben Desai, associated with the trust, decided to celebrate their son Ch. Prince Desai's birthday as a special service activity. Vipulbhai Desai, Advocate of Sudama Trust, transformed this event into a permanent service project by preparing a kafan distribution plan for covering the bodies of the deceased at the post-mortem department located at Sahara Darwaja, Smimer Medical College.
The purpose of this service is to maintain the dignity of individuals who have died due to accidents, suicides, or other circumstances, and to provide financial and humanitarian support to their families during difficult times. Dr. Prafulbhai Shiroya, President of Lok Drishti Eye Bank, Chairman of Indian Red Cross Society, and Commandant of Surat Home Guards, stated that on the occasion of Prince Desai's birthday, 251 kafans were dedicated to Smimer Medical College. During this event, Dineshbhai Jogani, Vice President of Lok Drishti Eye Bank, and Rajeshbhai Patel from Green Park Group were also present.
Jayeshbhai Desai, President of Sudama Trust, expressed his commitment to continue this service campaign and mentioned that the young members of the trust would actively support this humanitarian work to ensure timely assistance reaches needy families. On this occasion, R.M.O. Rana Saheb and Dr. Sandeep Lahoti from Smimer appreciated this initiative of Sudama Trust, stating that more than 10 kafans are needed daily for the deceased at Smimer. They noted that the trust's support would prove extremely useful and beneficial to society.
They emphasized that while unnecessary expenses are increasing in birthday celebrations, Prince Desai has set an inspiring example by prioritizing service and humanity. Family members, friends, and well-wishers extended their birthday wishes to him and hoped for the continuous success and expansion of Sudama Trust's 'Kafan Arpan Seva' campaign.
