Tigmanshu-Vijay with Sara's Powerful Performance, Ayushmann's Entertaining Avatar

Mumbai, May 13. 'Pati Patni Aur Woh 2' is a family entertainer featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Vamika Gabbi, Rakul Preet Singh, and Sara Ali Khan.

Tigmanshu Dhulia and Vijay Raaz have captivated audiences with their strong performances. Mudassar Aziz returns with an interesting twist in married life. The story, woven from Prayagraj's Sangam to the streets of Banaras, promises full entertainment.

In the film, Ayushmann Khurrana plays a brave forest officer who rescues animals. Ayushmann's life seems normal with his journalist wife, Vamika Gabbi, and office colleague, Rakul Preet Singh, until Sara Ali Khan enters as an old friend. To escape from a powerful leader's son, played by Tigmanshu Dhulia, Sara makes Ayushmann her 'fake fiancé.' The biggest surprise of the film, which may not be evident from the trailer, is that Sara Ali Khan's performance among the three lead actresses is the most impressive and surprising.

The way Sara balances comedy and emotional depth is commendable. Without any over-the-top melodrama, she captures the essence of her character beautifully. The first half of the film is entirely dominated by Sara.

Her chemistry with Ayushmann is remarkable, presenting situational comedy in a light and entertaining manner. Sara's evolution as an actress is clearly visible on screen. Even among such a large and talented cast, she shines uniquely.

Watching her on screen is so enjoyable that when she is not in a scene, the audience genuinely feels her absence. It would not be wrong to say that this film should primarily be watched for Sara Ali Khan's excellent performance. Other characters also contribute significantly; Ayushmann Khurrana, known for such roles since 'Vicky Donor,' carries the film effortlessly.

Rakul Preet Singh surprises with her seriousness and comic timing as a forest officer, while Vamika Gabbi adds a good dose of glamour and drama. The real 'show stoppers' of the film are Tigmanshu Dhulia and Vijay Raaz. Vijay Raaz's brilliant one-liners and Tigmanshu's influential presence elevate the film to another level.

Despite Mudassar Aziz's good direction and concept, the script appears flat in several places. Some punches and situations remind one of old Bollywood films, making it somewhat predictable. Additionally, the abundance of Punjabi songs in the UP desi backdrop and the characters' lackluster local accents can be jarring.

Despite these minor shortcomings, 'Pati Patni Aur Woh 2' is a great and clean family entertainer. If you are a fan of Ayushmann and want to enjoy a new, mature, and wonderful avatar of Sara Ali Khan on screen, this film will not disappoint you over the weekend. The film has been rated 3 stars.
