Surat: Job Fair Receives Excellent Response, Over 500 Youths Benefit from Employment Opportunities
Surat. The 'Grand Job Fair 2026' organized for youths seeking employment in Surat received an excellent response.
Held at Platinum Hall in Sarsana under the joint auspices of the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) and the Assistant Director (Employment) Office, Surat, over 500 youths participated enthusiastically. The job fair, which ran from 10 AM to 2 PM, featured around 80 prestigious companies from various sectors offering employment opportunities to the youths. Companies from sectors such as solar, textile, insurance, engineering, manufacturing, marketing, graphic designing, and digital marketing participated in the event.
The job fair provided opportunities for candidates ranging from those who have passed the 8th grade to those holding master's degrees. Candidates had the chance to interact directly with company representatives and interview based on their qualifications and skills. The initial interview process saw a large number of candidates selected for the second round, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the youths.
Nikhil Madrasi, the president of the chamber, stated that there is a strong link between youths and industries at the job fair, emphasizing the need for skilled human resources for industrial development. He mentioned that the chamber is always striving to provide employment opportunities for youths and connect industries with qualified talent. The job fair aimed to bring together prestigious companies from various sectors on a single platform to guide youths towards new career directions based on their educational levels.
According to the organizers, the main objective of the job fair was to provide a suitable platform for job-seeking youths and meet the human resource needs of industries. The event received positive feedback from both companies and candidates. Several dignitaries were present on this occasion, including Ashok Jirawala, Vice President of the chamber, Honorary Minister Bijal Jariwala, Group Chairman Deepak Sethwala, and Mitesh Shah from the Retail Committee.
