Surat: Opinions of Experts at Wealth Expo 2026 - A Secure Country and Right Values are the True Foundations of Wealth
On the first day of the three-day Wealth Expo 2026 organized by the Chamber of Commerce in Surat, leading experts and industrialists shared their views on investment, global politics, and life values. The event, hosted by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) and JITO Surat, saw a large number of investors and industrialists in attendance.
Geopolitical expert and former CBO of Axis Mutual Fund, Karan Dutta, noted that global competition regarding semiconductor chips and 'rare earth' metals is intensifying. He stated that the strength of any country's economy and stock market depends on its security. He mentioned that while people often express concerns about a potential third world war, he believes the world is moving towards a more peaceful era, suggesting that future generations may only read about terrorism in history.
He referred to the steps taken by India and Israel against terrorism, indicating that the era of state-sponsored terrorism may be coming to an end. Karan Dutta remarked that the world is shifting from globalization to localization, and if investors carefully prepare their portfolios, better opportunities may arise in the next five years. His introduction was made by Ketan Dalal, an advisor to the Capital Committee.
On this occasion, renowned industrialist and Padma Shri awardee Savjibhai Dholakia emphasized the importance of values and self-development in life. He stated that merely earning money is not enough; individuals should also invest and donate their understanding, health, and time. Savjibhai Dholakia expressed that if we do not invest in the development of our strengths and personality, we will regret it in the end.
He added that money and fame are merely results, and the real investment lies in knowledge and understanding. He also encouraged people to live life with positivity and a smile.
