Surat. Bhagwan Mahavir University, located in Surat, has taken a significant step towards integrating modern technology with higher education.
The university has formed a strategic partnership with 'Coding Pro', an institution working in the field of artificial intelligence and data science, under which a fully AI-based education system will be implemented starting from the academic session 2026-27. The aim of this initiative is to prepare students for future technological challenges and industry needs. Under the new system, special AI-based courses will be introduced in various subjects such as engineering, computer applications, management, law, humanities, and allied health sciences.
These courses have been designed keeping in mind the National Education Policy 2020 and current industry demands. State-of-the-art digital classrooms, virtual labs, and AI-driven learning support systems will be developed on the university campus. Each student will experience personalized learning.
Additionally, practical training will be provided in areas such as data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud technology, robotics, and automation. Students will also be connected to employment opportunities through real-world projects, technical competitions, innovation programs, and industry connections. The university administration believes that this initiative will empower students not only for jobs but also to establish new startups and technology companies.
The university's Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Ramkumar, described it as a visionary and historic initiative in the field of higher education in the state. Meanwhile, the CEO of 'Coding Pro', Shivkumar Maurya, and Registrar Dr.
Vijay Matwala stated that this partnership will give a new direction to technology-based education in Gujarat. Sumit Bhat, founder of 'Reduce Artificial Intelligence', also welcomed this initiative, stating that the country needs such institutions that can prepare students for future technologies. This partnership is considered the beginning of a new era of technology-driven higher education in Surat and across Gujarat.
