Surat: Construction of a new fire station and staff quarters begins at Sachin GIDC at a cost of 7.50 crores

 

A new additional fire station and fire staff quarters have been initiated in the Sachin GIDC area to enhance safety measures in light of industrial development. The project is being developed near the existing fire station on Road Number-1 at a cost of approximately 7.50 crores.

It includes modern facilities aimed at ensuring the safety of industrial units and workers. The proposed fire station will have arrangements for four water bowsers on the ground floor, while a state-of-the-art command room will be constructed on the first floor. The second floor will provide a mess room for fire staff.

Additionally, ground plus two-story residential quarters will be built for fire personnel, comprising a total of 12 one-BHK units. This arrangement will provide better housing facilities for fire staff close to their workplace. The foundation stone for this project was laid by Nileshbhai Gami, Chairman of the Sachin Notified Area and Vice President of the Society.

Present at the occasion were Kishor Patel, President of the Sachin Industrial Society, Secretary Mayur Golwala, Director Gourang Chapatwala, Bhikubhai Nakrani, Mukesh Chaturvedi, Hemant Jarivala, Manager Arvind Ahir, along with other officials and staff members. This project is considered a significant step towards strengthening the safety infrastructure amid increasing industrial activities in the Sachin GIDC area.
