Surat: Lord Parshuram's Birth Anniversary Celebrated with Gaushala Service and 56 Offerings
On the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the Vipra Foundation in Surat celebrated Lord Parshuram's birth anniversary with devotion and enthusiasm at the Shri Om Nandeshwar Gaushala in Ladvi. The main objective of the event was to inspire the younger generation with the ideals of valor, penance, and cow service exemplified by Lord Parshuram.
The program began with a formal worship of Lord Parshuram amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras. Following this, a havan-yajna was conducted with the wish for world welfare, where the host families offered oblations. The main attraction of the ceremony was the 56 offerings made to the cow.
Members of the Vipra Foundation's women's wing prepared 82 different dishes according to a pre-determined list, including bajra khichdi, moong dal khichdi, wheat and semolina halwa, jaggery lapsee, sesame laddus, fruits, vegetables, black chickpeas, rajma, and various other offerings. At 9 AM, a grand aarti and bhajan-kirtan filled the entire gaushala premises with a devotional atmosphere. At the end of the program, prasad was distributed to the devotees.
On this occasion, the Gujarat state president of the Vipra Foundation, Tolaram Saraswat, mentioned that Lord Parshuram symbolizes the struggle against injustice and the establishment of dharma, and cow service has been an integral part of his life. The entire event was organized under the leadership of district president Ghanshyam Sevag and general secretary Dinesh Sharma. Many dignitaries, including state organization general secretary Mithalal Joshi, national executive member Dinesh Dadi, and Gujarat youth president Girdhari Singh Rajpurhoit, along with numerous prominent figures, women wing officials, mothers, and youth workers, were present in large numbers.
A special feature of the program was that all devotees wore yellow attire, which enhanced the dignity of the event. National member of the Vipra Foundation, Dinesh Sharma, stated that the organization celebrates Lord Parshuram's birth anniversary every year with service activities to spread a positive message in society. He emphasized that there is no greater virtue than cow service.
