Surat: How to Choose a Career After 10th-12th? Experts Provided Important Guidance to Students in Surat

A career guidance festival was organized by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Surat to provide students with the right career direction. A special session was held on April 14, 2026, at Samriddhi, Nanpura, where expert faculty guided students on career options available after 10th and 12th grades.

Professors associated with Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, including Dr. Poorti Kothari, Vishal Mashruwala, Dr. Nitin Patel, Sumit Dhamani, Dr.

Nehal Shah, and Dr. Manisha Verma, addressed students and parents. The experts stated that the period after 10th and 12th grades is the most crucial turning point in students' lives, where the right decisions determine the future direction.

They emphasized that many students make wrong choices due to a lack of proper information, making the role of parents and teachers, along with professional counseling, extremely important. The session also highlighted the growing opportunities in emerging fields such as Information Technology, Digital Media, Data Analytics, Management, and Creative Industries. The experts advised students to choose careers considering their interests, abilities, and market demand.

The professors clarified that merely obtaining a degree is not enough; communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and practical knowledge are equally important. They encouraged students to stay updated with new technologies and adopt a mindset of lifelong learning.

At the beginning of the program, Mahesh Pamnani, Chairman of the Education and Skill Development Center, delivered a welcome speech. In the concluding question-and-answer session, students had their career-related queries addressed.
