Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Rise by ₹195 in Delhi
New Delhi, April 1 — Due to supply constraints stemming from the crisis in West Asia, oil marketing companies have announced a significant increase in the prices of 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinders starting April 1.
As per agency report, the largest oil marketing company, Indian Oil Corporation, has stated that the price of a 19-kilogram LPG cylinder in the national capital will be ₹2,078.50. This marks an increase from the previous price of ₹1,883 set on March 7, resulting in a hike of ₹195 or 10.38%.
This is the fifth increase in the price of commercial LPG cylinders since January 1 of this year, with a total increase of ₹498 in Delhi during this period.
There has been no change in the price of the 14-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder, which saw an increase of ₹60 on March 7, and is currently priced at ₹913 per cylinder in Delhi.
In Kolkata, the price of the commercial LPG cylinder has risen by ₹218 (10.95%) to ₹2,208, while in Mumbai, it has increased by ₹196 (10.68%) to ₹2,031.
In Chennai, the price has gone up by ₹203 (9.93%) to reach ₹2,246.50 per cylinder.
