Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma visits Aditya Dhar to celebrate the success of Dhurandhar
Mumbai - Film director Ram Gopal Varma has become an admirer of director Aditya Dhar since the release of the film Dhurandhar. Having watched Dhurandhar The Revenge even before its official release, he had already declared it the biggest film of the year. Recently, he visited the residence of Aditya Dhar to personally congratulate him on the success of the movie and once again praised the director wholeheartedly.
During the visit, the veteran filmmaker met Aditya Dhar and Yami Gautam and later shared a photograph of their meeting on social media, as per agency report. In his social media update, he described the meeting with the power couple and drew a comparison between the cinematic character Hamza Ali, played by Ranveer Singh, who eliminated Pakistani terrorists, and the real-life Hamza, referring to Aditya Dhar, who is currently shaking up Indian filmmakers. He further remarked that while terrorists might run to save their lives, filmmakers have nowhere to hide their movies from the sheer brilliance of the director.
This is not the first instance of Ram Gopal Varma praising the film, having previously labeled it a blockbuster. According to the director, Dhurandhar 2 is not merely a movie but a reset button for Indian cinema. He has also issued a warning to Hindi cinema producers, stating that films produced after March 19 must undergo a transformation, failing which it will be difficult for them to survive in the industry for long. He has frequently expressed his views openly, claiming that cinema is dead and creativity is continuously declining.
Interestingly, Aditya Dhar has also been a massive fan of Ram Gopal Varma and decided to step into the world of cinema after being inspired by his film Rangeela. He had previously expressed his desire to collaborate with the veteran director on multiple occasions. It now remains to be seen to what new heights these two prominent directors will elevate cinema by working together in the future.
