Surat : Suman High School Celebrates Stellar Performance in Class 10 Results
Mayor Commends Top-Scoring Student for Achieving a 95% Mark
The Surat Municipal Corporation-operated Suman High School reported an impressive 89.54% pass rate in this year's Class 10 board examination results, with 38 students achieving an A1 grade. Significantly, the municipality's Oriya medium school reported a perfect 100% result.
Suman High Schools were established in 1999 by the Surat Municipal Corporation to serve economically disadvantaged students in Surat's slum areas. Since then, the number of such schools has grown to 23 across the city, consistently achieving excellent academic outcomes.
With a team of highly qualified teachers and the use of modern technology in classrooms, these schools have shown their prowess in both the SSC and HSC Board exams. In the 2022/23 academic year, the Gujarat Board's overall result was 64.62%, and Surat's was 76.45%, underscoring the exceptional performance of Suman High School students.
The results of the Gujarati, Marathi, Hindi, and Urdu medium schools operated by the municipality were 86.48%, 91.81%, 89.23%, and 86.17% respectively, while the Oriya medium school posted a remarkable 100% pass rate.
Surat's Mayor Hemaliben Boghavala personally visited the home of one standout performer, Vaidehi, to offer her congratulations. A student at the Katargam Suman High School No. 3, Vaidehi achieved a stellar 95.83% mark in her SSC Board Exams. This exceptional result not only brought honor to her school and family but also to the city of Surat.
