Southern Gujarat Chamber organizes industrial visits to promote modern technology and sustainable practices
Surat, November 27: The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized successful industrial visits at various locations across the city during the month of November. The primary objective of these visits was to acquaint members with modern technology, sustainable production models, and the developments occurring in the direction of new industries.
On November 5, 2020, a delegation from the Chamber visited Steam House India Limited located at Sachin GIDC. As per agency report, the members were given a detailed introduction to eco-friendly and energy-saving facilities such as the community boiler system. The team also received information regarding artificial intelligence-based steam management systems and advanced pollution control technology.
The second industrial visit was conducted on November 15, 2020, at Sahajanand Technologies Private Limited and the 3D Excellence Center. During this visit, participants witnessed live demonstrations of advanced machinery, precision manufacturing techniques, and 3D printing, which helped develop a better understanding of new possibilities within the manufacturing sector.
The third tour was organized on November 19, 2025, at Make3D.in, where members were provided with detailed information about Indian-designed high-precision 3D printers, rapid prototyping processes, and Industry 4.0 technology. The fourth visit took place on November 26, 2025, at Shakunt Ashram and Pragati Glass Industries. At Shakunt Ashram, members experienced yoga practice, while at Pragati Glass Industries, they closely observed the high-quality manufacturing processes of glass products.
Chamber President Nikhil Madrasi stated that the purpose of these industrial visits was to make members aware of modern technologies and sustainable industrial practices. He mentioned that such efforts increase innovative thinking among entrepreneurs, bring confidence in adopting technology, and further strengthen networking in the industrial world. The Chamber has announced that it will continue such informative programs in the future.
