Quality Concerns Raised Over Cheese and Mayonnaise Sold in Surat City
Several Popular Pizza Outlets' Products Fail Municipal Corporation's Food Department Tests
SURAT - In a wake-up call to food vendors and consumers in Surat city, it has been revealed that several eateries have been selling substandard cheese and mayonnaise. The Surat health department has flagged concerns about the quality of these ingredients at various pizza centres located in the city's affluent Ghod Road and Pal areas. This revelation has led to calls for Surtis to limit their consumption of outside food and be cautious about vendors selling such subpar food items.
In light of the lab test results, the Food Department of the Surat Municipal Corporation has issued notices to the management of the respective establishments. Legal actions are anticipated against these institutions in the near future. The Food Department has disclosed the list of pizza centres whose cheese and mayonnaise samples have failed to meet the standard requirements.
