Robust Response to Narmad University's Online Admission Process: Over 14,000 Applications Submitted
High Expectations for Further Applications Following Declaration of Class 12 General Stream Results
SURAT - With the implementation of an online admission process by Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), there has been an impressive response from aspiring college students. A total of 14,905 applications have been submitted so far for the first-year courses at the university.
The university began accepting applications for B.Com, BBA, BCA, and B.Sc courses as early as January. Despite the declaration of only the 12th-grade science results, 4,481 students have already applied for the first-year B.Sc course. The results of the class 12 general stream, however, are still to be declared.
In an effort to facilitate seamless admissions, VNSGU initiated the online application process early, allowing students to submit applications based on their 10th-grade results while awaiting the declaration of their board results. Once the board results are declared, students are required to update their applications with the additional documents.
Further aiding this process, VNSGU has strategically divided its admissions procedure across five distinct zones within South Gujarat: Surat, Bardoli, Bharuch, Navsari, and Valsad. This zoning structure aims to simplify the admissions process for students across these areas.
Since the declaration of the Class 12 Science results, the university has received applications for various courses, with B.Sc drawing the most interest with 4,481 applications. Meanwhile, the BCA, BBA, and B.Com programs have attracted 602, 392, and 352 students respectively.
The university expects an increase in applications upon the declaration of the class 12 general stream results. This anticipation suggests a promising influx of students eager to kick-start their higher education journey with VNSGU.
