NIA interrogates woman in Vadodara suspected of links with terrorist organization
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted an investigation into a woman from Vadodara suspected of being in contact with a terrorist organization. The NIA team has reached Vadodara to investigate the woman's connection with ISIS, following information received in 2020 during the investigation of an ISIS module in Delhi. The woman has been interrogated and her statement has been recorded by the NIA at Shaheen Bungalow in the Fateganj area.
The woman's role and contact with ISIS will be investigated, and efforts will be made to ascertain whether any other person is associated with her or whether she is in contact with any other person in her city or country. The NIA will also investigate whether there is a plan of ISIS against India, and the woman will be questioned in that direction as well.
The ATS had earlier interrogated the woman, and during the investigation of the ISIS module in Delhi, the woman's role had come to light. The NIA investigation is ongoing and further details are awaited.
