Western Railway’s Vadodara Division Implements Extensive Crowd Management Measures for Festive Rush
Vadodara: In anticipation of the heavy passenger movement expected during the upcoming festive season, Western Railway’s Vadodara Division has implemented a series of crowd management and passenger convenience measures to ensure safe, smooth, and efficient train operations. Special arrangements have been made at both Vadodara and Pratapnagar stations.
As per agency report, Public Relations Officer of the Vadodara Division, Anubhav Saxena, stated in a press release that a designated passenger holding area has been set up at Vadodara station, equipped with essential facilities such as seating arrangements, clean drinking water, adequate lighting, fans, and a public announcement system. To streamline passenger entry and ticketing, additional booking counters have been opened at Vadodara and Pratapnagar stations. Extra ticket checking staff and Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel have also been deployed for queue regulation, passenger assistance, and overall security.
Saxena further informed that an adequately covered holding area has been created at Vadodara station to accommodate waiting passengers comfortably before train departures. A secure space of more than 300 square meters near Platform No. 6 has been designated as the dedicated holding zone. To maintain effective coordination and ensure passenger safety, RPF personnel are using walkie-talkies and body-worn cameras for uninterrupted digital communication during duty hours. Continuous CCTV monitoring has been arranged to keep round-the-clock surveillance on passenger movements.
In addition, a dedicated war room has been established at the Divisional Control Office for real-time coordination and swift response to any situation.
The Vadodara Division of Western Railway has appealed to passengers to make use of the designated holding areas instead of crowding near platforms or entry gates, especially during peak travel hours. Passengers have also been urged to follow the instructions of on-duty staff and security personnel, as these arrangements have been put in place to ensure their safety, comfort, and convenience during the festive rush.
