Seminar in Surat focuses on strengthening India–Thailand trade ties in energy, automobile and hospitality sectors
Surat, October 6. The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) organized an important seminar on Thailand–India business linkages, with a focus on energy, automobile and hospitality collaborations. The keynote speaker was Ms. Poonsugandha Vibhusaporn, CEO and founder of Grace Products Company Limited, Bangkok, Thailand.
As per report, addressing Surat’s entrepreneurs, Ms. Vibhusaporn highlighted the vast opportunities for industrial cooperation, technological partnerships and investments between Thailand and India. She emphasized that closer collaboration in sectors such as energy, automobiles and hospitality can create significant avenues for mutual growth.
Former SGCCI president and Indo–Thai Chamber President Rohit Mehta stated that the chamber’s objective is to connect local industries to the global stage. He noted that such trade interaction events give entrepreneurs opportunities to network and collaborate internationally, thereby expanding Surat’s industrial reach to global markets.
Rakesh Trivedi, Managing Director of the Indo–Thai Chamber of Commerce, said that Thai businesses are deeply interested in partnering with India’s growing market, especially leveraging Gujarat’s industrial strength. He added that Surat’s industrial capabilities and openness to innovation make it an ideal destination for foreign investment.
Paresh Bhatt, CEO of SGCCI Global Connect, explained that collaboration between Surat’s MSME sector and countries like Thailand would unlock new export opportunities and access to advanced technologies. The event was conducted by Devkishan Mangani, Chairman of SGCCI’s Global Connect Committee, and saw participation from a large number of industrialists, professionals, business delegates and chamber members.
The seminar marked a significant step towards deepening economic ties between India and Thailand and positioning Surat as a prominent global business hub.
