Vadodara’s Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan in Raopura has announced a special discount scheme to mark Gandhi Jayanti. The scheme will run from October 2 to December 31, offering 30 percent discount on khadi products manufactured in Gujarat and 20 percent discount on khadi sourced from neighboring states.
As per agency report, the Khadi Bhavan, which has been progressing for the last 75 years, continues to play a significant role in supporting economically weaker weavers and spinners across villages in Gujarat. Manager Rakesh Patel said that the institution has not only promoted the heritage of khadi but also ensured sustainable livelihoods for many families.
The Khadi Bhavan has put on display a wide variety of products such as wrinkle-free khadi, muslin khadi, Calcutta khadi, colored khadi, cotton shirts, sarees, dresses, silk sarees, Rajkot patola, Jamdani, Hyderabad silk fabrics, shirting, ready-made garments, winter wear, jackets, blankets, and shawls. Additionally, pollycloth coats, trousers, shirts, new designs of leather shoes and slippers, handicrafts, soaps, incense sticks, and several other items are available.
The products and discounts can be availed daily from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm at the Raopura branch in Vadodara and also at the Bhutadijampa Gramodyog Centre.
