Chhattisgarh and Gujarat Police Engage in Informative Exchange Under Shreshtha Bharat Initiative

In a bid to foster cross-learning and collaboration, 15 police officers from Chhattisgarh are visiting Vadodara, Gujarat for six days, under the auspices of the Shreshtha Bharat initiative. This reciprocal exchange program also saw 15 Vadodara police officers begin a seven-day tour of Chhattisgarh a week ago.

This exchange aims to provide police officers from both states an opportunity to observe and learn from the operational strategies and techniques employed by their counterparts. The officers will visit various police stations and control rooms, sharing insights about their respective working systems and procedures.

Police Inspector R.K.B. Chouhan of Ravpura police station informed that the exchange program is part of an agreement between the Governments of Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. The team from Chhattisgarh, comprising one Assistant Sub-Inspector, three Head Constables, and 11 Constables, commenced their Gujarat tour on May 10.

During their visit, these officers will acquaint themselves with different policing techniques and crime registration and investigation procedures in various Vadodara police stations. In return, they will share similar insights from Chhattisgarh with the Vadodara police.

Similarly, a team of 15 officers from Vadodara, including a Head Constable, embarked on a Chhattisgarh tour on May 9. They will visit different police stations in the state, learning about local policing cases, and sharing information about practices in Vadodara.

This mutual exchange is expected to enhance the coordination between the police forces of Gujarat's Vadodara and Chhattisgarh. By gaining insights into each other's policing methods, the forces hope to strengthen their operational capabilities and improve their respective crime handling processes.
